MISSION

The Fort Belvoir Claims Office mission is to investigate, process, adjudicate, and negotiate the settlement of non-contractual claims on behalf of and against the Army within its geographic area of responsibility and settlement authority. 

One licensed attorney and three claims specialists are available to provide procedural advice and accept claims against the U.S. Government. 

Two claims specialists assert claims on behalf of the Army for the value of medical treatment provided to soldiers, retirees, and their family members for injuries caused by third parties.
