St. Patrick’s Day has become a popular night out to celebrate with friends and family. Impaired driving usually happens after drinking with family, friends, and coworkers.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of impaired drivers, the night out has also become very dangerous.
During this year’s Saint Patrick’s Day, remember to keep safety in mind during your celebrations. Choose not to drive impaired and encourage others to do the same.
Fort Belvoir Army Substance Abuse Program has teamed up with Washington Regional Alcohol Program in promoting 2012 St. Patrick’s Day SoberRide program that offers a free cab ride home (up to a $30.00 fare), beginning at 6 p.m. March 17 and ending at 6 a.m. March 18.
If you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with alcohol, designate a driver or call WRAP’s SoberRide at 1-800-200-TAXI.
The Fort Belvoir ASAP is trying to reduce the number of impaired drivers on public roads. Therefore, let’s get the word out and take care of our battle buddies and coworkers during the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. For more information, call James Peters at (703) 805-5991.
