Newcomers Information

The Fort Belvoir Newcomers' Orientation is conducted every Tuesday after the 10th of every month from 9am to noon, for all new incoming military and civilian personnel assigned to Fort Belvoir, whether they live on or off post. In holiday weeks, an alternate Tuesday is typically scheduled. Newcomers’ Orientation is conducted in the Fort Belvoir Community Center, Bldg. 1200, 10300 Taylor Road, off Belvoir Road near Pence Gate and the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.

This is a valuable opportunity for all new Soldiers, their family members and new civilian employees assigned to Fort Belvoir to meet key staff members and gain information about the post and the National Capital Region. The briefing includes presentations in support of our community leaders and affiliates; display booths; and reference & resource materials. Light refreshments are available.

The information provided at the briefings is valuable for newcomers & those who have been at Belvoir for a while, as everyone can find something about what Fort Belvoir (French for ‘Beautiful to See,’) has to offer.
