The Barden Education Center provides adult education opportunities to Military Soldiers, Adult Family Members, Retirees and Department of Defense Civilians. Services include Educational Counseling, Testing, Functional Army Skills Training (FAST), Multi-Use Learning Facility (MLF,) Facility Space Management and On-post undergraduate and graduate college programs.

Government tests administered include Army Personnel Tests and DANTES Exams as follows: Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB), Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT), Pre-GT, Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), SAT, ACT, Selection Instrument Flight Training (SIFT), Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), Basic Math and Science Test (BMST) and PRAXIS. The NTC administers CLEP, DSST, Math & English Placement Tests, Accuplacer, and Proctored Exams for NOVA.

The FAST class provides Soldiers with on-duty instruction in reading math and language skills. The goal
is to strengthen academic skills, improve job performance and increase reenlistment options.
MULTI-USE LEARNING FACILITY (MLF) & FACILITY SPACE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

The MLF provides a Computer Lab, Language Lab and study materials that are loaned out to customers over a two week period and the MLF Technician schedule classrooms and the computer lab usage.
