DOD DECAL
DoD Decals are no longer being issued at Fort Belvoir. Several military installations in the MDW area have eliminated the requirements for decals. All Military and CAC card holders may access all gates without a DoD Decal. All visitors and commercial vehicles without a Military / CAC card must enter thru Tulley Gate. TEMPORARY PASS Temporary passes are issued to individuals without a Military or CAC card. The temporary pass allows the individuals to access all gates expect Telegraph Gate on Beulah Street. HOW TO OBTAIN A TEMPORARY PASS To obtain a temporary pass, a sponsorship memo/letter must be faxed or hand-carried into the Visitor Center. The memo must be from a Fort Belvoir Organization or someone living on Fort Belvoir. The letter must list the names of the drivers, reason for sponsorship and length of sponsorship; not exceeding 6 months. Sponsor must provide their name and phone number on the memo. The memo must be on the Organization Letter head and signed by the sponsor. If the sponsor is an individual living on Fort Belvoir, the memo must include the sponsor home address.
VISITORS / COMMERCIAL VEHICLES Individuals without a temporary pass or Military / CAC Card must enter thru Tulley Gate. All vehicles are subject to being inspected by gate security.
WEAPON REGISTRATION
• If you live or will be storing a weapon on Fort Belvoir, you must register your weapon. • Weapons must be registered within 72hrs of in- processing. • E-5 or below must have Commanders signature • Soldiers that live in barracks must keep their weapon stored in the arms room unit. BICYCLE REGISTRATION An individual living on Fort Belvoir may register there bicycles. FINGERPRINTS Fingerprints at the Visitor Center are completed electronically and printed on cards. We do not mail them out.
