The Mission of the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office, Washington Area is to provide services for shipment, receipt and storage of personal property for military and civilian members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard moving into, within or out of the geographic area specified for JPPSO Washington Area (The District of Columbia, 7 Maryland counties, 8 independent cities and 24 counties in Virginia, and 9 counties in West Virginia).

Beyond checking shipment status, I encourage you to make use of e-mail via the website when possible, instead of telephoning the JPPSOWA. We receive over a half-million calls per year. During the Peak Season (April - September) our telephone system is not able to handle the volume of calls, despite costly upgrades.
